WHERE WE FISH

Three Kinds of Water, One Captain

We fish where the bite is best on the day — your trip can mix all three.

Aerial view of Sarasota barrier island coastline showing turquoise inshore waters, white sand beach, and mangrove shorelines — prime inshore fishing territory

Inshore — Flats & Mangroves

Sarasota Bay · Siesta Key · Lido Key

Sight-fishing the shallow grass flats and mangrove shorelines. This is home water for snook, redfish, and sea trout — and the most beginner-friendly fishing in Sarasota.

Aerial view of Sarasota coastal pass showing emerald green water, sandbars, and the channel connecting Sarasota Bay to the Gulf of Mexico

Nearshore — Passes & Channels

Big Pass · New Pass · Longboat Pass

The passes funnel bait — and predators. Spring tarpon roll through here in big schools, and king mackerel and cobia hunt the nearshore structure in the cooler months.

Young angler fighting a fish on a bent rod offshore in the Gulf of Mexico on a calm blue-water day out of Sarasota, Florida

Offshore — Gulf of Mexico +$100

Gulf reefs & wrecks · calm days only

On calm days the 26′ Pathfinder reaches the offshore reefs for grouper, snapper, and kingfish — some of the best table fare in Florida. Add $100 to any charter for Gulf access.

FAQ

Booking Questions

How do I book?

Easiest way is to call or text me directly at (941) 284-6274, or fill out the contact form and I’ll get back to you personally — usually the same day. Once we pick a date, a small deposit holds your spot.

How far in advance should I book?

In peak season (spring tarpon and the summer months) the best dates fill up two to four weeks out, so the sooner the better. That said, I get last-minute cancellations all the time — if you’re in town, it’s always worth a call.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your safety comes first. If the weather won’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule to another day or refund your deposit in full — no questions asked. I watch the forecast closely and will always be straight with you the day before.

Do you do groups?

Absolutely — bachelor parties, birthdays, family reunions, and corporate outings are some of my favorite trips. The boat holds up to 6 guests, and every charter is private to your group.
