Three Kinds of Water, One Captain
We fish where the bite is best on the day — your trip can mix all three.
Inshore — Flats & Mangroves
Sight-fishing the shallow grass flats and mangrove shorelines. This is home water for snook, redfish, and sea trout — and the most beginner-friendly fishing in Sarasota.
Nearshore — Passes & Channels
The passes funnel bait — and predators. Spring tarpon roll through here in big schools, and king mackerel and cobia hunt the nearshore structure in the cooler months.
Offshore — Gulf of Mexico +$100
On calm days the 26′ Pathfinder reaches the offshore reefs for grouper, snapper, and kingfish — some of the best table fare in Florida. Add $100 to any charter for Gulf access.
Sarasota Areas We Fish
Drag-On Charters runs trips across the whole Sarasota and Manatee coast — from the flats of Siesta Key and Lido Key to the passes off Anna Maria Island and the backwaters down toward Venice. Wherever you’re staying, there’s great water close by.
Booking Questions
Easiest way is to call or text me directly at (941) 284-6274, or fill out the contact form and I’ll get back to you personally — usually the same day. Once we pick a date, a small deposit holds your spot.
In peak season (spring tarpon and the summer months) the best dates fill up two to four weeks out, so the sooner the better. That said, I get last-minute cancellations all the time — if you’re in town, it’s always worth a call.
Your safety comes first. If the weather won’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule to another day or refund your deposit in full — no questions asked. I watch the forecast closely and will always be straight with you the day before.
Absolutely — bachelor parties, birthdays, family reunions, and corporate outings are some of my favorite trips. The boat holds up to 6 guests, and every charter is private to your group.
